Multiple file upload applets and Active-x controls

posted Saturday, 12 March 2005

A recent thread on CF-TALK prompted me to look for some file upload applets or active-x plugins for uploading multiple files. I once needed to do this for a cms which would required uploading a large amount of image galleries daily so I already had a partial list. Here is the list if anyone is interested. I haven't used any of them so I would be interested to hear how good bad/they are from anyone who has.

Thanks. I've checked most of these out. I'm looking for something that will launch an FTP download. I know it seems pretty trivial, and that all browsers support ftp:// as a link, but they also use that link to launch the file... I want a straight download, which means using a tiny FTP applet.

So far I've found only one, on http://www.somethingJava.com, but cannot contact the author, and so an hesitant to spend the $50 to try it out only to ifnd that it wouldn't fit my needs.

Any advice?
